
At our November Council Meeting, a resolution was passed to donate $1000 to the Homeless and to encourage our brother Knights, families and friends to donate.
OUR MINIMUM GOAL IS $2,000 FOR THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON.
At our Council meeting on 12/14, the selection committee recommended and it was unanimously approved, that the charity to which we will donate is Gold Coast Veterans Foundation.
This is an outstanding organization headquartered in Camarillo, CA.
The Gold Coast Veterans Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering veterans in the Ventura County area. The foundation has been actively involved in addressing the unique challenges faced by veterans, including homelessness, healthcare, employment, education, and overall well-being.
Key Initiatives:
- Veteran Support Programs: The foundation provides a range of programs and services designed to meet the diverse needs of veterans. This may include mental health support, job placement assistance, housing solutions, and more.
- Community Outreach: The Gold Coast Veterans Foundation actively engages with the local community to raise awareness about veterans’ issues. Through outreach events, educational programs, and partnerships with other organizations, they work to foster a supportive and understanding community.
- Fundraising and Donations: To sustain their efforts, the foundation conducts fundraising campaigns and seeks donations from individuals, businesses, and other organizations. These funds are used to finance various programs and initiatives that directly benefit veterans.
