What do you like most about being a Knight?

I enjoy the service to the church and community.

Personal Tidbits: Fr. Jim grew up on a farm on the outskirts of Fillmore, the oldest of eleven brothers and sisters. Right after graduating from Fillmore High School he entered St. John’s Seminary, and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles nine years later.  He has had parish assignments at St. Bernardine of Siena (Woodland Hills), St. Paschal Baylon (Thousand Oaks), St. Elizabeth of Hungary (Van Nuys), and St. Mary Magdalen (Camarillo), and was dean of students at St. John’s Seminary College before coming to St. Jude’s.

Helping our neighbors in need, praying the Holy Rosary and giving back to our Conejo Valley Communities through our fundraising efforts.

Personal Tidbits:  Former Silicon Valley CFO and CPA. Founder of Westlake Business Advisors in 2019 to provide interim CFO and business advisory services. Enjoy traveling, great food, wine and champagne.

What do you like most about being a Knight?

Knowing I’m a member of a catholic fraternal brotherhood with councils nationwide and international. I can go to any parish and know that the local council will accept me as a brother. Also, the opportunity to help our parishes and community address their social and spiritual needs through our council’s numerous outreach initiatives fulfills our Knights values of Charity, Fraternity and Unity. All practicing Catholic men are welcome and encouraged to join this unique brotherhood.

 

Personal Tidbits: St. Jude’s parishioner since 1995; love, domestic and international travel with my wife.

The Knights is all about service to others. God wants us to do something good with our talents and to use those gifts in His service. Matthew 25:40…’Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
