The Sisters of Notre Dame, Thousand Oaks, CA are holding their annual fundraiser. This is fun, wonderful and professionally managed race event… Legit, and fun for all runners, serious, recreational and walkers.

UPDATE:  NUN RUN 2024 SWITCHED TO VIRTUAL

Dear Nun Run Participants:

We have decided that our 2024 Nun Run will only be virtual. There will be no in-person event as
previously planned for this Saturday, Feb. 3.

We are very sorry for this late change and late notice. We have listened over the past few days to many
people who are angry and saddened by the announcement that La Reina High School and Middle School
will be closing at the end of this school year. Holding the event at the school, at this time, we believe,
may only further sow division in our community and will not be the enjoyable event we want for the
participants. So, we have decided that our best course is to change the format, allowing people who
want to participate to do so in this way.

Here’s how the virtual event will work. Participants will be able to walk or run any time through
Saturday, February 3. The Nun Run team will mail your souvenir T-shirt and finisher medal to you. Those
who are already registered for the in-person event will be able to request a refund of their event fee or
transfer to the virtual run. Visit www.nun.run for further instructions.

All proceeds from the event will continue to support the Sisters of Notre Dame Life & Ministry fund,
focusing on support for the homeless, immigrants, human trafficking survivors and healthcare and
eldercare services. They have long been the beneficiaries of this event. We continue to appreciate all
who support the SND mission and hope you understand our thinking behind this decision.

Description

Sisters of Notre Dame Nun Run 5K, 1.5-Mile and Mileage Challenge 

Join us in person event for the 5K and 1.5 Mile and we have added a Mileage Challenge.

Join us again at La Reina High School and Middle School for our in person 5K and 1.5 Mile or choose to join us virtually from anywhere in the world for our Mileage Challenge (you can choose how many miles you wish to complete).

Race Starts

  • 1.5-Mile – 8:30am
  • 5K – 8:15am
  • Mileage Challenge – Log your miles anytime between Jan. 30th and Feb. 3rd

PRE-REGISTRATION
Pre-register now through Feb. 2nd, 2024.

PACKET PICK UP – Friday, February 2nd and Race Day Saturday, February 3rd

Pre-Race Packet Pick Up –  Friday February 2nd, 4-7pm  – La Reina High School and Middle School (106 West Janss Road Thousand Oaks, CA US 91360)

Race Day Packet Pick Up starts at 7am at La Reina (106 West Janss Road, Thousand Oaks CA 91360)

  • Most Miles logged: individual male and female

SHIRTS
Race shirts are included with your registration, while supplies last. Sign up by January 25th to guarantee your race shirt and choice of size. Additional shirts in a variety of sizes will be available for late sign-ups as supplies last.  You can also choose to donate your shirt to one of the local students.

COMMUNITY SERVICE FAIR
In the spirit of the Sisters of Notre Dame, we will have a Community Service Fair with booths from non-profit service organizations with information about their mission, programs and volunteer opportunities.

We are grateful for your participation in the 10th annual Sisters of Notre Dame Nun Run. Proceeds will support the SND Life & Ministry Fund, providing spiritual, educational and social outreach, both locally and around the world.

The Nun Run for the Sisters of Notre Dame is an annual event aimed at supporting their religious community and their charitable endeavors.
